The series of paintings showcased above (and in detail below) are self-portraits used to represent my Indian/Caribbean culture and highlight a sense of spirituality. I painted these not as part of a school project, but more so as a progression from previous work to help me to find my true style as an artist.
The oil painting below was created as a way of relieving my 6th form exam stress in 2008.
This, grey, oil painting shown below was produced for my personal sketchbook. However, I chose to display it on my portfolio as I like the sense of spirituality and 'hope' it exudes.
The landscape watercolour painting below was created in response to the vast flooding that affected the U.K. in 2008. It is part of my personal sketchbook.
The two paintings below were produced as part of a 6th form project based on Eating Disorders. They are supposed to represent an episode of binging, a common factor of Bulimia.
